Ruellia brittoniana, Mexican petunia

Ruellia brittoniana
Mexican petunia

Chosen by Margaret Kralovec

Tall vertical structure, with deep green leaves, maroon stems, and  purple petunia-like blooms that last just one day. Makes a striking impression in a close grouping.
